Our program is structured in 2 blocks and culminates with the Master's Final Project. In addition, during the development of the program there will be two voluntary bootcamps and different additional activities.

1. Brand management process

The overall objective of this first module is to provide students with the necessary general knowledge about strategic and operational marketing, in the process of defining an effective branding strategy, based on value generation. Finally, we will analysed the marketing department, the role of the brand in the marketing department and the Brand Manager within the organisation and the department.

This subject aims to introduce the key concepts related to the role of brand management in a competitive environment. Through this module, students will gain a holistic view of brand management, integrating this function within the strategic and competitive dynamics of the company.

This third module aims to offer a deeper knowledge of the first of the phases connected to brand management, the internal and external analysis of the environment. In this module, the student will see different techniques and tools that will allow him/her to obtain the necessary information to define or redefine the brand of an organization.

In this module, students will delve into the concept of visual identity and corporate identity. They will discover the key aspects that will allow them to define or redefine both identities and they’ll be able to dig into the elements of visual identity and design, such as UX and graphic design, among others.

In this module, students will get in touch with the entire process of brand implementation and communication, as well as the process of defining the communication strategy. Some of the topics covered will be internal communication, external communication, online reputation and communication strategies, among others.

This module will provide students with the essential knowledge, tools and techniques to evaluate the impact generated by the brand on internal and external agents. Specifically, it will focus on the measurement of results, the analysis of the profitability of a brand, the cyclical management of the brand and the analysis of the influence of the brand, among others.

For this sixth subject, students will look at the process of building a brand through advertising and will be able to understand the impact of the advertising industry, as well as how different media channels can be used to develop brands. Thus, they will see topics such as advertising media, the elements and development of an advertising campaign and the implementation and measurement of campaigns.

2. Trends in brand management

In this module, students will delve into the concept of Emotional Branding as a tool to connect with the emotions of internal or external customers. They will see topics such as the connection between the consumer and the brand, the existing guidelines for the definition of an Emotional Branding strategy and the best way to analyse successful cases.

This course aims to introduce students to the concept of Sustainable Branding and provide them with the essential knowledge and tools to integrate it into the brand value of the organization. For this subject, students will delve into topics such as the integration of sustainability in branding and sustainable design, among others.

Final Project and Additional Activities

This program is designed to complement the content from the thematic blocks with the necessary training to achieve its internalization. The training includes: technical assistance, personal support and individual and group challenges.

Pre-Masters Bootcamps   

The student will have the opportunity to take 3 Pre-Master Bootcamps. Once the course has been completed and passed, a completion certificate will be issued to the student.

Introductory Workshop | Campus Training

Before the start of the academic year, students will have the opportunity to attend an introductory workshop where they will be provided with the necessary tools and knowledge for the correct use of the Campus, the platform used during the academic year.

Professional Development Program (PDP)

Two weeks before the start of the academic year, students will be able to participate in a professional development program where they will work hand in hand with a teacher to develop different skills such as time management, productivity, stress management and emotional intelligence. Once the student successfully completes said workshop, he/she will be able to obtain a certificate.

The objective of this final project is for students to apply the knowledge acquired during the program to the development of a brand strategy connected to a real company.

In this bootcamp, students will see the process connected to creative thinking, as well as work on the different key skills to develop it (analysis, problem solving, open-mindedness, communication and organization).

Bootcamp: Insights Detection

In this second bootcamp, students will work on a specific methodology to develop their client's insights through five steps. Each student or group of students will be able to work on their business and projects to apply what they have learned to their day-to-day work and final master's thesis.

In this bootcamp, students will work on the different techniques of storytelling, both for the construction of the institutional discourse and for the development of actions capable of generating engagement.

Virtual Exchanges and COILs

During the program, students will also be able to participate in a COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) with students from the University TEC de Monterrey and CENTRUM Peru*.

Company visits

During the program, students will have the opportunity to attend synchronous videoconferences with experts in their sector. These professionals will share their experiences and offer advice on the best practices in said area.

Webinars

Most of the training is done asynchronously, which means that the exchange of knowledge is done through a platform that allows sharing written texts without the need for people to be connected at the same time. Additionally, in each of the modules, synchronous sessions or 'webinars' are organized, where all participants are connected at the same time through an application that allows them to exchange experiences and knowledge in 'real time'.

Students taking the OBS Master in Branding and Brand Strategy will have the opportunity to prepare for the Scrum Certifications (Product Owner & Scrum Master) *.

*The cost of the certification, as well as the preparatory course, is not included in the price of the program.

Diploma

In addition, and provided that you meet the established academic and administrative requirements, you will obtain a Lifelong learning Master's degree from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB).

In order to obtain it, you must have a university degree. In the exceptional case of not having this degree and having passed the Master's evaluations, you will obtain a Higher University Diploma from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB).

Admission Process

The fundamental aim of our admissions process is to ensure the suitability of candidates. All participants should get the most out of this learning experience, through a context in which it is possible to develop long-term relationships with classmates, faculty and alumni.

After completing the application form for one of our programmes, you will receive an e-mail with information about the School and a member of the Admissions Department will contact you to start the admission process. Once you have successfully passed the personal interview, you must submit all the required documentation to continue the admission process and certify that you meet the requirements of the student profile. After the Admissions Committee, if it is positive, you will be able to register and enrol in the programme you have applied for.
