Tell us briefly about your career

I have been an entrepreneur for 34 years, having founded four companies throughout my career, two of which are international. My new venture, called BigVaca, is currently being developed as a startup.

Why did you decide to participate in this Workshop?

I decided to enroll in the Motivation and Team Management Workshop because I oversee the areas that make up my companies. We face the challenge of creating intrapreneurship to prepare business units for independence as spin-offs and transforming the mindset of employees to associates. This requires developing leadership and motivation skills to create better leaders who inspire both internal and external clients.

Additionally, in my work as a business consultant, I help organisations align their business processes through digital transformation based on three pillars: Processes, Technology, and People. This training is beneficial for replicating leadership styles with clients.

Have you been able to identify the tools you need to boost your team?

I found the leadership keys and the Blake & Mouton leadership typology very helpful. I also appreciated the conflict resolution tools from the Tuckman model, the stages, and the Thomas & Kilmann conflict resolution models.

I worked on identifying Belbin's nine roles (I have homework to do with my staff as a result of this) and the steps for delegation.

What did you learn from this Workshop?

I have definitely gained clarity on structuring leadership to develop it within my team, as well as measuring my performance through the independence and effectiveness of my collaborators.

What has been your experience with this service?

My experience has been a pleasant surprise, exceeding my expectations at the end of the Master's and doing this valuable workshop that adds value to my professional career and a sense of belonging to OBS. For this reason, I would highly recommend this workshop.

What has your time at OBS ment to you?

My time at OBS has been an opportunity to prove to myself that there is always something to learn and that we can create a renewed version of our professional endeavours while contributing my professional experience to enrich an international community built from the sum of all our talents.

Furthermore, my goal in enrolling was to evolve my skills through the Master, but above all to apply each module in my work as a business leader and a spokesperson for digital transformation in the agri-food sector in LATAM, which urgently needs modernisation.

I can affirm that this educational track has deeply impacted clients and collaborators in the companies I lead, to the extent that 75% of our business processes have improved over the past 12 months, creating a highly promising horizon for the next five years.
