OBS in the Positive Impact Rating 2024
The school strengthens its position as a business school committed to sustainable development
The school is proud to join the list of business schools ranked in the Positive Impact Rating, an evaluation conducted by and for students around the world.
This initiative evaluates different global business schools to analyse how their positive impact is perceived. It also collaborates as a driver of change to promote the transformation of the business school landscape.
Demand for responsible leadership keeps growing
The growing need for responsible business leaders has sparked considerable interest in business schools committed to sustainable development. This is reflected in the PIR, an assessment that already features a total of 102 schools from 34 nations that have been analysed between 2021 and 2024 at levels 3 and above.
This growth reflects a steady increase in new participants; in fact, this year's survey has received 15,222 student responses, an increase of 19% over 2023.
It is an honour for OBS to be positioned in the Positive Impact Rating, given that the evaluation recognises the school's efforts to promote, educate and collaborate in initiatives related to sustainable development such as the OBS Impact Scholarships, the annual celebration of OBS Green Week or the dissemination contents on sustainability prepared by our teachers, all framed under our CSR Plan: OBS Sustainability.
OBS contributes to achieving the SDGs of Agenda 2030
At the school we carry out different actions and initiatives that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, established by the United Nations General Assembly. These goals include ensuring inclusive and quality education (SDG 4), promoting decent work for all (SDG 8), boosting sustainability and fostering innovation (SDG 9), as well as reducing inequalities both within and between countries.
What is Positive Impact Rating
The Positive Impact Index seeks to contribute as a lever for change in transforming the business school landscape.
Through a survey composed of 20 questions related to school governance and culture, curricula, learning methods and student support, the PIR determines an institution's level of commitment to sustainability. The resulting PIR business school score is used to rank business schools at different levels, providing them with a defined model of social impact and a tool they can use to measure and compare their impact.
