Bootcamp and Additional Activities

Lucas Fernández Aragón
Programme Director, Senior Full Stack Developer & Tech Lead on Red Hat AI Platform

1. Full Stack Development Fundamentals

During this module, students will be introduced to the languages that will be used throughout the master's degree: JavaScript and Typescript. As Typescript is a superset of the former, concepts will be introduced with examples in both languages and then exclusive features of Typescript.

Professor: Ignacio Vela, Government Affairs and Public Policy Manager at Google.

In this module, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the main project management methodologies and processes.

Professor: Sara García Sánchez, Business Affairs at Mediapro Studio.

2. Front-End Development

In this module, students will delve deeper into the process of web development through an introduction to how the web works, how pages are rendered in browsers, and how to move from prototypes to web layout.

Profesora: Ana Alpera Plazas, Asesora Legal at Prime Video & Amazon Studios.

Throughout this module, students will focus on the use of frameworks as a workspace, will see the advantages that their use provides during the web development process and will learn in a practical way the main frameworks that prevail in Front-End Development.

Professor: Manuel Artero Anguita, Senior Software Engineer at TV Appsenior at Telefónica.

3. Back-End Development

It is essential to have a clear vision of the structure of a server and all the elements that compose it in order to have a solid foundation in Full Stack Development. That is why this module presents all the concepts associated with the creation of a service in NodeJS.

Professor: Julio García Pérez, Tech Lead at Telefónica.

It is becoming increasingly common for software development to move to the cloud, as it provides multiple advantages over a traditional deployment: infrastructure abstraction, rapid vertical and horizontal scaling, or automatic provisioning and deployment, among others.

Professor: Santiago Hernández Ramos, Security Architect en BBVA.
VIEW LINKEDIN

Knowing the different programming languages and frameworks is essential for a Back-End Developer, but knowing how to manage and implement different databases is also essential, since each application, service and website requires a data persistence system. The objective of this module is to provide students with the necessary knowledge about database management, as well as introduce them to the main technologies and how to choose the right type of infrastructure for each project.

Professor: Santiago Hernández Ramos, Security Architect at BBVA.

4. Testing and monitoring

A software development without proper security planning and a battery of tests to verify the correct functioning of the product is very likely to have problems once it is deployed in production. These problems can translate into small bugs in behavior or major architectural failures that can lead to significant losses for our company.

Professor: Josué Encinar García, Head of Product Security en Irius Risk.
VIEW LINKEDIN

Containers are becoming an increasingly important component in software development. The ability to create self-contained production environments that operate independently of the environment in which they are deployed and that have simple management mechanisms have made it essential to understand these technologies.

Professor: Daniel Gutiérrez Navío, Senior Data Engineer at Rakuten.
VIEW LINKEDIN

In the field of software development, it is increasingly common to use techniques that promote communication between developers and IT operations professionals. For this reason, it is common to use new methods and techniques that guarantee the highest quality of software and avoid unnecessary risks or costs by attacking the way the product is developed and deployed.

Professor: Javier Gutiérrez Navío, Cybersecurity Technician at Mapfre.

Final Project and Additional Activities

This program is designed to complement the content of the thematic blocks with the necessary training to achieve their assimilation. Said activities are conceived from a triple perspective: technical assistance, personal support and individual and group challenges that are necessary to achieve the objectives set.

Pre-Masters Bootcamps

The student will have the opportunity to take 3 Pre-Master Bootcamps that will open progressively and can be taken at any time. Once these activities are successfully completed, students will receive a certificate of completion.
- Bootcamp 1. Personal Branding
- Bootcamp 2. Data Storytelling
- Bootcamp 3. Creative Thinking and Innovation

In addition, students will also have the opportunity to take these pre-master courses; however, these are available in English only:
- Building Your Professional Brand for Employability and Career Success
- Finance Fundamentals

Introductory Workshop | Campus Training
Before the start of the academic year, students will have the opportunity to attend an introductory workshop to the Campus, where they will be provided with the necessary tools and knowledge for the correct use of the platform during the academic year.

Professional Development Program (PDP)
Two weeks before the start of the academic year, students will be able to participate in a professional development program where they will work hand in hand with a teacher to develop different skills such as time management, productivity, stress management and emotional intelligence. Upon completion of the workshop, and provided that the relevant activities have been carried out, a certificate of completion can be obtained.

The Master's Final Project must be a real plan for creating a Technological Project following the software development life cycle. To do this, we will apply the processes, technologies and tools taught in the master's degree to ensure the delivery of a quality and robust product.

The project must be executed in groups. Extraordinary value will be placed on:

•           Using innovative tools and technologies learned in the program.

•           Forming specialized profiles within the group and assuming roles in development.

•           Implementing the defined scope of the project.

The Master's in continuing education in Fullstack Web Development is complemented by lectures and seminars that are given in each of the blocks. These additional activities are carried out by renowned professionals in business management who, through videoconferences, present their experiences and practical cases.

Bootcamp: Technologies for Full Stack Development
The goal of this bootcamp is to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of Full Stack development while providing the technical knowledge necessary to be able to properly follow the program. In this course, students will find material resources that will allow them to delve deeper into different topics and will carry out activities that will serve as a guide for evaluating their knowledge.

ProfessorEnrique Blanco Henríquez, Tech Lead at Telefónica.

Bootcamp: Web Project
In this bootcamp, all the knowledge taught in the courses will be applied to create a web project from its initial phase, following all the stages of the software development life cycle. Throughout six sessions distributed at the end of each module, we will review the contents of these modules and explore alternatives to the suggested tools and technologies.
Professor: Lucas Fernández Aragón, Senior Full Stack Developer y Tech Lead en la Plataforma de IA de Red Hat.

Company visits
During the course of the program, students will have the opportunity to attend synchronous video conferences conducted by expert professionals in the program area. They will share their experience and provide best practices in the sector.

Case studies
The practical component of the program is essential and complements the theoretical training. To this end, during the course there will be debates on current and interesting topics in each of the subjects, simulations for decision-making applied to real situations or practical cases where, from an academic point of view, the problems raised and the proposed solutions will be analyzed, as well as the criteria taken into account to carry them out.

Webinars
Most of the training is carried out asynchronously, that is, the exchange of knowledge is done through a platform that allows the sharing of written texts without the need for people to be connected at the same time.
Additionally, in each of the modules, synchronous sessions or ‘webinars’ are organized, where all participants are connected at the same time through an application, which allows the exchange of knowledge in ‘real time’.

The Master in Fullstack Web Development includes the preparation of students for the following certifications:
- ICN Business IT Certification
- Scrum Certification (Product Owner & Scrum Master)

*The cost of the certifications and preparatory courses is not included in the price of the program.
